Ian Filippini Stops By Honor Bar

Ian Filippini Honor Bar

Honor Bar

As many people know, Montecito is a quaint, lovely area south of Santa Barbara that boasts high end, yet comfortable places to shop and to eat. The Coast Village Road area of Montecito is a lovely street that looks like it came straight out of a movie with restaurants and shops lining both sides of the street. Towards the south end of Coast Village Road is a fairly new establishment, Honor Bar.

Ian Filippini, who’s wealth management office Filippini Wealth Management is located on Coast Village Road, is very familiar with Honor Bar (www.filippiniusa.com). He visits here often not only because it is convenient for lunch on a work day, but because they have great food and cocktails.

Honor Bar has a huge bar in the middle, (hence the name), and is surrounded by comfortable booths. Their kitchen is open and available for you to look in on to watch your yummy food being cooked. They also have a lovely outdoor patio where you can bring your four legged friends!

Ian truly loves their menu, and he has tried most things, but his all time favorite item on the menu is the Honor Burger. It is a monster and can easily be shared with your dining partner! Their menu also has a wonderful assortment of salads, as well as ahi tuna, filet mignon and rotisserie chicken.

If you ever have the chance to drop by the Honor Bar, be sure to try one of their signature cocktails, craft beers or local wines. You can check out their full menu on their website at www.honorbar.com. You can also see what others think of the Honor Bar at https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-honor-bar-santa-barbara.

Ian Filippini Visits Pickles & Swiss Restaurant

Ian Filippini Visits Pickles & Swiss

The other day my friend and I were in Santa Barbara region and we were in the mood for sandwiches. I have heard about Pickles & Swiss but I never visited it so we decided to give it a try. Located in an outdoor shopping complex, the first thing that impressed me were the fresh ingredients on display. Also, the staff there explained that they use fresh produce and bread everyday. Therefore, there are no fillers, transfat, artificial flavours, nitrates foods. In fact, the restaurant is very strict about serving gluten-free fresh foods and keeping deep-fried and frozen foods at bay. What’s more, I have been told that the premium meats and cheeses are sourced locally too.

I ordered a grill turkey sandwich, which came with a side of one of the best tasting pickles I ever had in my life! I am not exaggerating here but the pickle was that good! I tried the cold coffee here and it was delicious too. What’s more, the prices were really reasonable. My friend has celiac disease therefore she was more than happy to try dining out at a gluten-free joint like this one. She really loved her veg sandwich and said that it’s the best gluten free sandwich she had in the recent times! Thus, it wouldn’t be exaggeration if I summarize the place as one offering ‘killer’ sandwiches.

The staff at Pickles & Swiss are really friendly too, which is another reason that makes this deli outlet a favorite amongst shoppers. In fact, I would certainly recommend it to a friend. It is one of the best places for a quick lunch in Santa Barbara region. The outdoor seating or al fresco dining experience here is also something that is enjoyed by many. All in all, it is definitely a restaurant that I would like to go back to.
