Ian Filippini Santa Barbara Gets Cozy At Montecito Wine Bistro

Ian Filippini Montecito Wine Bistro

Montecito Wine Bistro

As Ian Filippini Santa Barbara knows, Montecito has many great places to delight in food and drink. One of the great, and perhaps lesser knows of these places, is Montecito Wine Bistro (https://www.pierrelafond.com/). Montecito Wine Bistro is located at 516 San Ysidro Road, which is considered the Upper Village in Montecito.

Montecito Wine Bistro, like many restaurants and bars in Montecito, is fancy and casual at the same time. There is a wonderful outdoor patio that is fun to gather on with friends, as Ian Filippini Santa Barbara has done from time to time. There is also a giant fireplace to warm up by on cooler evenings.

Montecito Wine Bistro has a quite a large menu including steaks, chicken, burgers, and chops. They also have salads, sandwiches and flat breads that come out amazing out of their wood-burning oven.  And of course, they have a very large and diverse wine list.

The Santa Barbara Polo Club was founded in 1911 and is one of the oldest polo clubs in the country that still exists. The club has its own polo team of course, but also offers lessons to the public.

The Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club welcomes visitors to watch Sunday games from May, through October. There is also quite the social scene at the Santa Barbara Polo Club, as Ian Filippini Santa Barbara has come to find out. The Polo Club is also a popular venue for weddings and other events.

Andree Clark Bird Refuge

If you live in Santa Barbara, there is a good chance that you have heard about the bird refuge. What you may not know is its full name which is the Andree Clark Bird Refuge. The Andree Clark Bird Refuge is located at 1400 East Cabrillo Blvd. and is known not only for the beautiful birds that live there, but also for the amazing running/biking/skating path that surrounds it (this is the part that Ian Filippini Santa Barbara enjoys the most).

The Andree Clark Bird Refuge is a man-made freshwater marsh and lake that is appropriately right next to the Santa Barbara Zoo. It is 48 acres of open space with 29 of those acres being the lake. There are three islands located within the lake that provide places for the birds to make their homes. Ian Filippini Santa Barbara loves the many opportunities there are for bird watching around the refuge.

There are over 200 species of birds that live in and around the bird refuge at any given time. There are also turtles and other wildlife that can be observed while on the trails around the bird refuge. Joe’s Cafe

Ian Filippini Santa Barbara has been a local to Santa Barbara since 1999 when he moved here from Pacific Grove. Joe’s Cafe has also been local to Santa Barbara, but for a much longer time, since 1928. If you are from Santa Barbara, live here, or have ever visited, chances are that you have frequented Joe’s Cafe, or at least heard of this iconic Santa Barbara establishment.

Joe’s Cafe is a fun and casual place to grab a bite during the day, and transforms to a popular and busy bar that is a staple of the State Street nightlife. Joe’s has an extensive menu where you can find burgers, sandwiches, salads and incredible desserts. Though the food at Joe’s is great, they are even better known for their strong cocktails. Patron beware! One drink at Joe’s Cafe can easily equal 2 or 3 drinks from your usual neighborhood bar. This is one of the reasons Ian Filippini Santa Barbara and many, many other Santa Barbara locals enjoy a drink at Joe’s Cafe from time to time.

Joe’s Cafe actually has a very long and detailed history that you can check out here https://www.joescafesb.com/info/#story. And you can check out more about Ian Filippini Santa Barbara at http://ian1031.com/san-ysidro-ranch-a-santa-barbara-secret/ and http://seniortaxplanners.com/.

Ian Filippini Santa Barbara Is Crazy For Toys

Toy Stores

Ian Filippini Santa Barbara is no stranger to toy stores. He has four nieces, one nephew and another one on the way, so many months of the year come with buying birthday or holiday presents for these lucky kids. Ian Filippini Santa Barbara is a great uncle and has definitely searched for the best Santa Barbara area toy stores over the years. Unfortunately, the choices are not plentiful, but some have some real quality and unique gift items.

One of Ian Filippini Santa Barbara’s favorite toy stores in the area is Toy Crazy in Montecito (www.gotoycrazy.com). Though it is a small store, they have a variety of toy and art options for infants to ten year olds. If you are looking for something unique that you won’t find at Target, Toy Crazy is your place. Toy Crazy is located in the Montecito Country Mart.

Another fun Santa Barbara area toy store is Chicken Little (www.chickenlittlekids.com). Chicken Little is geared more towards young kids and also has a variety of baby necessities as well such as cribs, rocking chairs and high chairs They also have very unique gifts that are fun for baby showers. Chicken Little is located in downtown Santa Barbara on State Street.

Of course a list of toy stores would not be complete without mentioning the ever popular Toys R Us. Santa Barbara has a “mini” Toys R Us located in the La Cumbre Mall. It is a small space, but it is packed from floor to ceiling with toys that any aged child would love to have (just ask Ian Filippini Santa Barbara). One of the cool things about having a Toys R Us is that you can order and pay for something online and go pick it up in store as long as they have it in stock. (www.toysrus.com).

Now you know that Ian Filippini Santa Barbara is a toy connoiseur, but to find out more about him, go to http://ianfilippini.net/ and http://ianfilippini.org/.

Ian Filippini Santa Barbara Gives Us The Hook Up on Fishing in Santa Barbara

Living on the Central Coast in Santa Barbara, Ian Filippini Santa Barbara knows how lucky he is to have a variety of coastal activities to choose from. From swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, whale watching and fishing, there is no lacking of aquatic sports to participate in. But for Ian Filippini, he loves the relaxing and (sometimes) rewarding fun of fishing.

Even though Santa Barbara is small, there are quite a few areas for good fishing. Ian Filippini Santa Barbara enjoys fishing for rainbow trout and bass in Lake Cachuma, which is off of Highway 154 between Santa Barbara and Solvang. Before we go any further, it is important to mention that you must have a fishing license to fish in Santa Barbara County.

If you don’t feel like traveling as far as Lake Cachuma, there is always Stearns Wharf or the Goleta Pier. These are two local areas are very popular for local fishermen and amateurs alike, such as Ian Filippini Santa Barbara.

If you are feeling more adventurous, there are several charter companies that will take you deep sea fishing out near the Channel Islands. You can check out some options here https://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Deep+Sea+Fishing&find_loc=Santa+Barbara%2C+CA and here http://www.santabarbara.com/activities/fishing/.
